CESOceanside, CA – The numbers have been carefully crunched, and it is CES that tops the Trade Show Gold 100 rankings of the largest US trade shows of 2015.

CES, the show that was long known as the International Consumer Electronics Show, covered an electrifying 2,235,936 net square feet (nsf) in 2015. The exhibit floor was 8.5% larger than in 2014 and more than 1 million nsf larger than its nearest Gold 100 competitor.

The CES show team from the Consumer Technology Association will be saluted this Fall in San Diego county at the 2016 TSE Gold 100 Awards & Summit. This year’s event will be held September 21-23 in Carlsbad, CA at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, just a few miles from the picturesque Pacific Ocean and nestled alongside one of the finest golf courses in an area that is noted for top-tier links.

“Trade Show Executive will honor the blue-ribbon organizers who are leading the exhibitions industry to new heights every year,” said Darlene Gudea, President of Trade Show Executive Media Group. “These teams are often the early adopters of new ideas and technology and gathering them together leads to interesting discussions.”

More Big Names

CES finished well ahead of the 2nd place show in the Class of 2015: ICUEE, The International Construction & Utility Equipment Exposition. ICUEE covered an impressive 1,206,046 nsf and was honored at this year’s TSE Fastest 50 for top growth by a non-annual show.

Rounding out the top five Gold 100 shows are the SEMA Show with 1,181,000 nsf; MAGIC – August at 1,140,800 nsf, and NPE – The Plastics Industry Show with 1,128,200 nsf.

The biggest and best shows of 2015 will be saluted at the Gold 100 Awards Gala where the Grand Awards will be presented in several categories. A record 19 Grand Awards were handed out at last year’s Gold 100 Awards Gala in Santa Barbara, CA. The coveted crystal trophies went to shows that led the pack in size and in other important ways.
